I have had a tough week or two; my sisters husband has been battling cancer for a couple years now. He took a turn for the worse and passed away last Thursday. We are in the middle of a winter weather bulletin and making arrangements more difficult.
My costs seem to be increasing and it is making it more difficult to maintain a free site. Time and money is becoming a larger problem problem than it used to be in years past. I tried maintaining this site for newbies and those without much money but it seems that my traffic has slowed down recently. Since affiliate sales was the method of funding this site; without traffic the sales have fallen off.
I have a multitude of products with PLR, Resale, and Master Resale Rights. In fact, I spend more time downloading from paid sites than I have for updating my sites. I have tried to locate someone with experience creating sales pages and minisites without much success.
Things are changing and it is getting harder and harder to meet all the demands. The FTC has made changes that require advertising to be very specific. It mainly pertains to reviews and testimonials being posted and notification of compensation being received. I'm not a lawyer and only hope that I have read and understand their requirements.I was a little shocked when I opened my website and found basically a blank page. I didn't realize I had set this page active until today, Sep 15, 2009. I will have to see how many people accessed the page sine the 8th and see how many others were shocked. At least it was nice and clean, which is what I thought I was going to accomplish. Only problem is I don't remember what I had planned to start with on this page; so please bare with me...
I am going to try and help some newbies with researching products on this page. I have been asked several times recently for help getting started. Again, we all like something for nothing but most will tell you that it will have little perceived value. I suppose the first thing you need to do is "learn how to use a search engine" I mean really learn how to search and research information.
There is much to be learned about using search engines and creating a method of extracting the data you are looking to find. Sometimes it requires digging much deeper than most realize. My favorite search engine is Google*; there are several others available; but don't seem to provide the same level and methods of digging.
Do You Know How To Use These (-, "", []) Symbols For Searching?
(-XXXX) minus sign = don't match this term
("XXXX XXXX") quotation signs = exact match of term or terms
([XXXX XXXX XXXX]) close bracket signs = exact match of phrase
No signs = matches any term listed
There are many more terms and ways to search with a lot less effort than you may be using now.
In the next few days, I will try to provide you with some useful tips for finding useful information, using mainly tools provided by Google*. But first, here is a free (not Google* tool) for indicating keyword daily useage.
